I just wanted to share some of the fab pictures from the weekends 1940s fashion show as part of Bedford’s Armed Forces Day. SDWD’s was on hand to style up the model’s hair and also do some hair demonstrations for the public I even joined in to model my lovely 1940s ‘make do & mend’ dress that I had altered in the true spirit of the 40s. I also got to style up fab 1940s style singer Luna Nightingale who did a fantastic job and sung her heart out entertaining the town. Rose-tinted Vintage shop in Bedford supplied all the clothing and picked some fantastic original 1940s clothing including a stunning CC41 dress. We even made it into the Times & Citizen (see pic here) the local Bedford newspaper!

Looks like it was a great event – fab fashion and hair do’s ladies!
Lovely blog and love all the hairstyles! Wish you ran the Victory Roll workshops in London too! I always struggle with getting the Victory Rolls right! Have a lovely weekend!
