This August will see Sarah’s Doo-Wop Dos take part in The Rough Cut Sessions, a new Bedford based TV style show. The idea is was thought up by Tom B Wild Productions as a way of showcasing lots of exciting acts and you can be part of the live audience! Tom’s idea is that The Rough Cut Sessions will be;
“Bedford’s newest internet TV show, featuring the best in new music, film and comedy (Think TFI Friday meets Jools Holland/The Tube chuck in some local/regional acts, musician and even hairstylists and you’re somewhere near what we’re talking about!”
The show will be filmed live at Holy Moly’s part of Esquires nightclub in Bedford on Friday August 17th, 8pm- 10:30 with tickets priced just £2. The audience will watch the full show as the live audience and then the show will be edited down & uploaded to the internet the following week so it can be shared. Local bands Bedford bands The CC Smugglers & Rebecca De Winter and Northampton based An Army of Lights are each playing a set, and there is stand up comedy from Hatty Ashdown. There is also the chance to see award winning short film ‘It’s Natural to be Afraid.’
As part of the line up I’ll have a slot coined as ‘Do That Do’ where I’ll be challenged to style up someones hair using a picture as inspiration. Obviously the final style will my version of any style & won’t be a copy but an hairdo inspired by the chosen image and so far we have some great suggestions! A lot of people are keen on animals, while others have gone for height, and there are even a picture of a wrestler!
If you want to get involved and have a great image of big/crazy/amazing hair you’d like to submit to the Rough Cut Sessions team then you can post it on their facebook page here.
