Nothing but Star Wars!

Vintage updos from the parlour.jpgI hope everyone has had a fun weekend, mine has been a busy one both with work and socialising! After a day of updos, well it is the perfect stay-put style to wear in this crazy weather, I started getting ready for dinner with friends only this dinner was Star Wars themed, yes that’s right STAR WARS themed!

I’m a HUGE Star Wars fan as are a couple of my friends so I thought I’d invite them over for a dinner with a difference. After I put my hairbrushes down for the day I set straight about decorating the table with a yellow and black theme and a whole load of fun ideas found through Pinterest like the Stormtrooper balloons and themed drinks labels. Although I spent most of the afternoon decorating and cooking I did get time to quickly do my hair and make-up & decided on a themed Princess Leia look but based on her time on the Forest Moon of Endor, with the Ewoks. Designing the menu was a lot of fun and we created a great Star Wars themed play list for the evening too, with not just the original movie score but also some hilarious songs inspired by the film. Add in Lightsabre coloured shots (from my vintage Atomic glasses and holder) and various themed drinks and it made for a fun evening. I love that my friends got really into the idea and even turned up in their best Star Wars themed clothing!

My friends love a good theme!

More themed food and silliness, well we had been doing shots!
